Get a glimpse into everyday life as you tour the highlights of Colombia, with a tour of the capital city Bogota; visit the local workshops of Salento, sample the freshest coffee in the coffee triangle and relax on the beaches of the Caribbean.

Day 1 - Arrival in Bogota

Arriving in Bogota you will be transferred from the airport to your hotel. You will have the rest of the day at your leisure.




Day 2 - Journey Through the Universe and History at the Archaeological Museum

in Colombia there's a magical place called the Gold and Anthropology Museum (MUSA)? It's like a treasure trove full of ancient treasures! Following this you will head to a place where you can travel among the stars and explore the universe! The Bogotá Planetarium is like a magical portal that takes you on a journey to discover outer space.

Finish the day enjoy the legendary and magical journey of cocoa. Learn about the cocoa process from bean to bar: You will taste cocoa nibs, 100% cocoa, and 70% cocoa. Create your own chocolate bar, combine various Colombian flavors, and mix them with the best Colombian cocoa.

Day 3 - Bogota - Villa de Leyva

On the road from Bogota to Villa de Leyva you can take an optional stopover in Zipaquira to visit the famous Salt Cathedral of Zipaquira, one of the wonders of Colombia. You will then continue your way to Villa de Leyva.

Day 4 - Villa de Leyva

Today take a half day hike to La Periquera The tour through the canyon will take you to see the oak and gaque (Clusia multiflora) forests which many years ago were a constant throughout the region, before you are able to enjoy the beauty of the waterfalls and their thrilling sound. You will also find a wonderful view of the Iguaque reserve, the Saquenzipa valley and in the distance part of Villa de Leyva.

For those more adventurous families you can add a Quad motorcyle or ATV buggy to your experience.


Day 5 - Villa de Leyva - Salento

Today you will leave behind Villa de Leyva and head to your hotel in Salento.

Day 6 - Salento

Salento is the oldest municipality in the department of Quindío, therefore its traditional architecture and craft workshops make it an unforgettable place. There you can see colonial houses painted in colours, balconies full of flowers and even better, you will enjoy the warmth of its people that will make your visit a great experience. You will also enjoy a hike in the Cocora Valley, where the national tree of Colombia, the Wax Palm, is located.

End the day in Filandia village located 40 minutes from Salento. This traditional little coffee town has a particular charm due to its colors and the decorations of the frames of its doors and windows. This has made the streets of this small town, an street art museum that led to name this municipality as the cutest in Quindio.

Day 7 - Salento village and coffee farm by Jeep Willys

Discover the important role of coffee in the cultural development of the region. Follow step by step the growth of the coffee beans from the time the seed is planted until the ripe beans are selected and harvested. Learn about the delicate process of milling the sustainable coffee grown in the region, the manual selection of the beans is carried out by female heads of the families. Let yourself be tempted by the expert tasters with the aroma of the different kinds of roasting and grinding, activating all your senses and discovering memorable sensations which will teach you about the speciality of this coffee. You will finish the tour with a visit to the village of Salento to enjoy its colourful streets and purchase handicrafts. 

Day 8 - Medellin

Today you will enjoy a bike tour around the city of of Medellin. It is among the most innovative cities of the world. Nevertheless, bicycles are still pretty new in town. Just a few years ago the city’s authorities built the first bicycles lanes through the valley of Medellín. This bike tour is about 19 km long and uses the bicycle lanes 80% of the ride.  

Enjoy this new perspective on Medellín and do a favor to your body and the planet at the same time.

Day 9 - Guatape - Medellin

The Peñol Boulder is one of the most spectacular destinations in the surrounding area of Medellín. The 200-meter-high monolith can be climbed with a staircase of 740 steps. Enjoy breathtaking views over the stunning surroundings full of green mountains and blue lakes. The village of Guatapé is famous for its church and its beautiful, colourful paintings that decorate the houses of the village. On this day trip we will take you on a scenic drive through the Eastern Highlands of Antioquia. You can climb the Peñol Boulder, enjoy a delicious typical Colombian lunch on the waterfront of the Guatapé reservoir, explore the lake on a boat ride and take time to stroll and relax.


Day 10 - Medellin - Santa Marta - National Park Tayrona

Transfer from your hotel to José Maria Córdova airport in Medellin. Before taking a flight a private transfer to your hotel at Hotel Watapuy Experience or similar.


Day 11 - Santa Marta - National Park Tayrona

Get deep into the Sierra Nevada jungle on a hike that will take you to the archaeological vestiges of a Tayrona town and to a refreshing tubing activity that will surprise you with a rich ecosystem that fuses river and sea.  In this tour, you will meet a place full of charm, where nature, adventure, and archaeology mingle to give you unforgettable memories. 

You'll begin your adventure with a trip to Don Diego, once there you'll start your trek through a spectacular path filled with endemic flora and fauna from La Sierra Nevada and with the vestiges of an ancient city.

Afterward, you'll continue walking to a place known as The Rapids, where you'll embark on a wonderful adventure tubing down to the sea. During this descent, you'll be able to spot howler monkeys, birds, and plenty of endemic vegetation. Finally, you'll get to the river mouth at a wonderful place where mountains, jungle, and the river melt with the sea. At this place, you can stay at the beach for as long as you want before returning on a boat upriver.

Day 12 - Santa Marta - Cartagena

This morning take a private transfer to your hotel in Cartagena


Day 13 - Cartagena

Today take a walking tour with pirate surprise. This is the best way to explore the old city of Cartagena while wandering around its colorful streets. It is a city of legends and pirates with an interesting background. Since you are in a city of pirates and treasures, there is no better way to engage your children, than surprising them with a pirate visit and treasures!

A real pirate will join you to discover Cartagena´s charming streets while you receive from his hands funny pirate treasures and also meet a real Pirate Galleon… come on board family! Let´s take the city!  

Day 14:Cartagena

Today you will partake in a Aletea Experience! It's a cultural musical experience where guests learn to dance champeta. It's a dynamic and lively dance class that immerses us in the best Caribbean energy.

Day 15 - Cartagena

Today you have the day free to enjoy exploring Cartagena at your leisure. Alternatively you can take an optional excursion, a  Full Day Rosario Islands, visit San Basilio de Palenque, Mountainbike Tour on Tierrabomba Island or a drums workshop.

Day 16:Cartagena

Transfer from your selected hotel to the airport in Cartagena.
