Dubai

Ultra modern Dubai is a destination where family holidays are only limited by the imagination.

Larger than life in all respects, Dubai defies logic on many levels. Taller, bigger, faster, more luxurious, ultra- modern, the list of superlatives almost changes by the day as this emirate seeks to stay ahead of its rivals. Many associate Dubai with luxury hotels and huge shopping malls making it more of a city break than a relaxing break. They would not be wrong, but there is a cultural side to also be found. Staying on The Palm or jumeirah Beach will give you close access to the beach whilst being close enough to visit the highlights of the country.

Why we love Dubai family holidays

  • See the Sunset twice from Burj Khalifa

  • Watch the fountain show at the Dubai Mall

  • Take an exhilarating 4x4 drive over the sand dunes

  • Enjoy dinner at a Bedouin Camp

  • Experience everyday life at Dubai Creek

  • Spend the day at the Atlantis Aquaventure

A visit to Dubai Creek gives you a vibrant mix of old and new. Arrive early evening to watch the traditional wooden dhows at work and the water taxi Abras crisscrossing the creek. It is here you’ll find the famous Souqs where gold, textiles and spices tempt you. Fun days out can also be had at the iconic Atlantis The Palm Aquarium and waterpark, IMG Worlds of Adventure, Ski Dubai and the world’s longest zipline; on a family holiday to Dubai you will definitely never be bored. For an exhilarating change to the city you can leave the city behind and enjoy some desert adventures, from 4x4 sand dune driving to dinner in a Bedouin Camp.

It is such an easy and safe place to explore with children and a great stop over on a longer trip. If you are looking for a winter sun option or a great first trip as a family the relatively short flight time makes it a good option compared to some of the long haul places that offer sun in our winter months.

  • When to visit Dubai
