A Maldives Family Holiday has so much to spark the imagination

The Maldives is a place that needs no introduction, a desert-island dream where tiny islands are scattered like jewels across the ocean, each one surrounded by a turquoise lagoon. Contrary to popular belief the Maldives is not just an adult destination, but is great for a family holiday. There are surprisingly few adult only hotels and many of the islands are really family friendly.

Why we love Maldives family holidays

  • Learn to be a marine biologist

  • See the Manta Rays in Baa Atoll

  • See the white sharks in An Atoll

  • Cookery classes

  • Treasure hunts

  • Snorkel in the best coral reefs in the world

  • Experience the unique underwater restaurants

The hotels choices here are varied and you can find anything from tiny boutique hideaways with just a handful of rooms to larger, all inclusive resorts with abundant facilities; authentic, rustic retreats to cool and contemporary hotels; and simple beachfront bungalows to the most exclusive overwater pool villas.

And if the stunning views aren’t enough, activities and experiences on offer range from Robinson Crusoe-style desert island escapes to a whole host of watersports.
