If you haven’t the time to travel the length and breadth of the country this short break experiences Moroccan highlights that are all a short transfer time from Marrakech. After experiencing the hustle and bustle of Jemaa el-fna square head to the mountains for lunch in a famous Kasbah. No trip to Morocco is complete without some time in the desert and the Agafay desert will give you just that. Finish with time on the beach in Essaouira.

Day 1 - Arrival in Marrakech

Upon your arrival in Marrakech you will be met by one of our representatives and transferred to your hotel where you will have the opportunity to check in and spend the rest of the day at your leisure.


Day 2 - Marrakech city tour

Today, you will start your guided private tour of Marrakech city by the visiting the Koranic School Medersa Ben Youssef, the Koutoubia Minaret, the Souks - filling the alleys north of the central square, and the Mellah or the Jewish Quarter which is said to be the second oldest in the country.

Finish your tour at Jemaa el Fna: translated as the square of the art. Here you will find a carnival of local life, including snake charmers, dentists, scribes and herbalists. In the evenings, the square becomes a venue for alfresco eating and entertainment of costumed acrobats, storytellers, magicians and semi-mystical Gnawa musicians.

Day 3 - Imlil

Today, you will meet your English speaking private guide who will take you to Imlil village in the Atlas Mountains. It is about 1 hour from Marrakech and you will arrive to Imlil village in time to enjoy a unique breakfast with a Berber family to explore the lifestyle of Berber locals who lives in the mountains.

You will then do some hiking before enjoying your lunch in a wonderful charming kasbah, such as Kasbah Tamadot owned by Richard Branson.

Day 4 - Imlil

Today you have the opportunity to explore the local Berber villages and hike through the foothills of the Atlas mountains.

There are a number of experiences that we can arrange here from quad biking, cycling through the villages or hiring mules to rest the legs of tired children. We would be happy to suggest ideas that are best suited to your family.

Day 5 - Agafay Desert

After a leisurely breakfast head across rocky plain to the Agafay desert. No holiday to Morocco is complete without some desert adventures and although it is only 40 minutes from Marrakech you feel like you are worlds away. The stunning red rocky landscape has a host of activities for you to enjoy, from time by the pool, camel rides into the desert at sunset to quad biking, hot air ballooning and paragliding.

Day 6 - Essaouira

Today, you will leave the desert and head to the small port town of Essaouira. The town has a vibrant and lively atmosphere. Famed for it’s whitewashed building with blue windows and doorways you can spend the rest of the day wandering the streets and peeking behind hidden doorways.

Day 7 - Essaouira

Today you have the opportunity to spend the day exploring at your leisure exploring the town more. Visit the souks of the Medina or head to the beaches. 

Day 8 - Departure

Today you will be transferred to the airport for your onward departure.
